Who are you?
If all the appearances were to go away, who would you be?
They say our identities are found where our hearts lie.
Sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed, and rearranged to locate us to the place we are meant to be.
What have you allowed to define you?
One way or the other, we are trying to find a home. Trying to find fulfillment in life. We try to find it in our careers. Some try to find it in a partner. Many other things. All to find some meaning in life.
And honestly, I don’t think the real talk is about finding who you are. I think it is about finding a place where you can be who you are.
I pray you find your happiness soon. I pray you find a place that feels like home and a heart whose beat sounds like family. I pray you find the place that brings out the being in you, the human in you. I pray you find the place where all your dreams turn into realties, a place where you can spread your wings, and finally not be afraid to fly.
And the truth is, when you find your identity in the One who created you, it will change your whole perspective.
Miss Ciara said in a movie titled “War Room” that everyone is always trying to leave Jesus out, which is one reason we are in the mess we are in.
Life can’t just make sense without God. It can’t, no matter how much we try.
Lord, I pray for everyone reading this that you would help us use your Word to find our way. Help us see when things are dark, help us stay on the path of righteous. Amen.
“Heavenly father, you know every decision I need to make and every challenge I face. Please forgive me for the times I try to figure this life out on my own. I need you. I need your Holy Spirit to give me strength, wisdom and direction. Amen”
God is a good father, don’t forget that.
